june 2009

hey friends : while i have been on the road i have been in and out of the studio trying to finish my first record. it will be 14 songs and i will hopefully have it finished and in mixing by the end of june. i am aiming to have it printed and done for you to purchase by august! i am extremely excited for you to hear it because it really is coming together amazingly! ok, at least i think it is! i will keep you informed of the studio happenings on my blog.

while on tour i started a side record called little golden songs which will hopefully be finished by the end of the year. each song is being written and recorded in one sitting in garage band. i am not using any real instruments and i am only using my laptop internal microphone to sing into. everything is pretty raw and poppy but sounds pretty interesting. each song is less than 3 minutes long and extremely simple. i will eventually have an illustration for each song to go with the record. if you would like to paint or draw for one of the songs, please let me know! it is my musical version of the little golden books collection. i look forward to you hearing it! i have posted some samples on facebook and myspace. when i am finished tracking all of the songs i will have them re-mixed and mastered for final print. the album will only be available for download on itunes and will probably be up at the beginning of next year!
